Story

(1) QIMR is an excellent medical research institute & is currently running a project that hopes to identify genetic markers of bipolar, laying groundwork for future development of treatments.  My fiancé Jay, who passed away in January, struggled immensely with bipolar for most of his life.  Fundraising for QIMR’s bipolar disorder research lab is a small way I can honour him.

(2) This year’s been hell & I haven’t looked after my health as well as I should be.  The B2B is my way of kicking myself up the bum as Jay would have, & forcing me to look after my asthma better + get fit again.  It will also give me a tangible goal to set my mind & time to over the next few weeks as I transition back from psych hospital to the real world again.
