Story
This year I am participating in the Bridge to Brisbane with my Amnesty Chermside action group fellow volunteers to raise funds for Amnesty International Australia doing amazing work challenging injustice.
Successes we have seen in the last year include prisoners released who had been imprisoned for expressing their opinion, participating in peaceful protests, criticising a government or even simply an aspect of their personal identity. This year, Amnesty's work has prompted investigations into human rights violations and the suspension of Australia's defence cooperation with Myanmar.
